Harrison Nott on the CoCreate 2026 main stage with Everette Taylor and Christian Reed

Speaking

Book me
to speak

Everything I would tell your room I have done myself, in the last three years. Keynote, fireside or Q&A, fifteen minutes to an hour.

Where I have
spoken

Two events, four slots, both Alibaba CoCreate. I entered the first. They invited me back to the second.

  1. September 2026

    Alibaba CoCreate US, Los Angeles

Flown back as the returning grand prize winner and given three slots in two days. That is the part I would check if I were you: they had already seen me do it once.

    • Harrison Nott alone on the CoCreate main stage, his name on the screen behind him
Keynote, 15 minutes What growth actually costs. Alone on the main stage, billed as the returning pitch champion.
    • Harrison Nott in a fireside chat with Rohit Kumar in front of a full audience
Fireside, with questions Starting an Ecommerce Brand in 2026. With Rohit Kumar of New Origins.
    • Harrison Nott speaking on the CoCreate main stage beside Everette Taylor and Christian Reed
Main-stage panel The $200K Payoff. With Everette Taylor, chief executive of Kickstarter, and Christian Reed.
  2. November 2025

Alibaba CoCreate Europe, The O2, London

The first one was not an invitation. I entered, got through to thirty finalists out of fifteen thousand, and had ninety seconds.

    • The Alibaba CoCreate 2025 judging panel seated on stage at the O2, Rio Ferdinand at the far left
Competition pitch, 90 seconds These are the people I had ninety seconds to convince. Rio Ferdinand, Sara Davies, Everette Taylor and Alistair Brownlee among them. It won the $200,000 grand prize, which is the only reason anyone asked me back.

If you would rather read it from somebody who is not me, here is what the press wrote about both of those.

What I can tell
your room

All first hand, all from the last three years. Any of these works as a keynote or folded into a fireside.

  • Selling a physical product at scale, as a teenager

Over a hundred thousand units, mostly through TikTok Shop and a Shopify store I run myself. Fifteen thousand orders inside a single day at the peak.

  • Why revenue is not the number that matters

My best month took £445,000 and lost money. I can take a room through the per-unit maths line by line, because I had to do it across 34,000 units first.

  • What happens when the platform breaks

An integration failed quietly and hid £61,000 of orders. I could not trade for ten weeks, in the only season a cooling towel sells.

  • Running a creator programme

Six hundred creators briefed and paid on what they sold, not on what got seen. Two hundred million views in one summer, almost none of it filmed by me.

  • Getting something made, and defending it

Three years of factory relationships since I was thirteen, customs codes learned the week a shipment was stuck in them, and a trademark I filed myself.

  • Doing it while you were still at school

Eight businesses that went nowhere, two thousand orders packed on a school night, and ten GCSEs in the middle of it. I am careful how I tell that part: I am not telling anybody else to.

See me do it

A transcript is a worse answer than ten seconds of footage, so here is the footage.

The practical part

Everything an organiser normally has to email and wait for, up front. I am sixteen, so the contracts answer is in there too.

The talk itself
I call it The Two Versions. It opens on the story as it got written up, then puts the version the press release left out on the screen next to it. It is what I did on the main stage in Los Angeles.
Format and run time
Keynote, fireside, Q&A or a workshop. Fifteen minutes to an hour, and I would rather do twenty minutes properly than forty padded out.
Where I travel from
Essex, with an adult. I have flown to Los Angeles twice to do this, so wherever your event is, it is probably not the hard version.
What it costs
No set fee. A sixth form and a conference are not the same conversation, and nor are an hour down the road and two days with a flight. Tell me your budget and I will say straight away whether it works.
What I need in the room
A microphone and a screen. I bring my own slides and a towel I can soak on stage.
Contracts and invoicing
CoolTowel LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 16255115. I am under eighteen, so the accounts and registrations are in my father’s name and he signs anything contractual. You invoice the company, not a teenager.
Who books me
Business and founder audiences, and schools or universities. A room of people twice my age is the normal case, not the exception.
What I will not do
The version where it all worked out. The record month that lost money is in the talk, because that is the half an audience can actually use.
